The secret to being successful as an apple grower in competition with corporate apple production – and their patents and "club" varieties – is to choose varieties wisely from among cherished heirlooms and/or some of the newest disease-resistant and high quality varieties. This session will highlight a selection of old and new varieties, and provide tips for production and marketing from experienced growers.
