Creative Strategies for Financing Sustainable Farmland Succession

Retiring and beginning farmers are encouraged to attend this workshop that explores succession-planning strategies that harness the collective wealth of the community to keep farmland in the hands of small farmers. These strategies include raising community capital, accessing nonprofit loan funds, working with land trusts, using conservation easements, and developing or converting to worker-owned cooperatives.
