We’ll review the federal and state laws that agricultural field and packing employers relating to 1) wages and overtime 2) breaks and sick leave and 3) Workers Compensation Insurance. We’ll also review how family members and independent contractors are treated under laws, and owner responsibilities for workplace conditions including bathroom and water availability, tools, and heat, and how these relate to Food Safety Modernization Act.
