Bounteous Beneficial Birds Bolstered by Boxes and Bushes

Beneficial birds can help with production in the same way that beneficial insects can. This workshop will review cutting-edge research on how farmers can adopt and hone practices to support pest-eating birds, focusing on which beneficial birds farmers can support; where they occur in farmscapes; how many and which kinds of pest insects and rodents they kill; the best ways to build and install their nest boxes; and how and where to plant their habitat. A discussion group  at 12pm will immediately follow this workshop.
