History of California Native Peoples and Good Allyship

It is essential to understand the history of the land and people of California, since it has been largely "hidden" or ignored in mainstream culture. We'll hear the history of California Native Peoples—especially those of the Central Coast—from a Native Californian educator who teaches the history of the indigenous peoples of California and galvanizes good allyship. Allyship is the condition of being an ally; of supportive association with another person or group. We will also hear from a Native Californian archaeologist who has worked to preserve his cultural heritage for a quarter of a century as a writer and activist.
