Ventas en línea para pequeñas granjas del mercado directo: la experiencia de Silva Family Farm

La pandemia de Covid-19 ha obligado a muchos agricultores a cambiar la manera en que venden sus productos al mercado directo. Al mismo tiempo, la pandemia ha aumentado el interés de los consumidores para las granjas locales. Online sales for small direct market farms: The Silva Family Farm experience

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced many farmers to shift the ways they direct market products. At the same time, the pandemic has increased shopper interest in local farms. In response many small-scale farmers have set up online sales to tackle challenges of shopper communication and convenience. During this session, Pablo Silva of Silva Family Farm will share his experience setting up and marketing the Silva Family Farm online store in 2020. Pablo will guide participants through the components of his online store for presale of product for pickup at farmers markets and their onsite farm stand. Discussion will include benefits and challenges of setting up ecommerce. Kate Smith of Washington State University Extension will support the discussion and share additional resources.
