This is a unique opportunity to live and work in a thriving land-based community and non-profit from mid-January through mid-November 2020. There are 6 positions, 2 in each focus area: Program Administration, Facilities, and Garden. Interns participate in all aspects of community life and work 25 hours per week in exchange for a private cabin to live in, use of OAEC facilities, and enrollment in OAEC courses. Past interns at OAEC have gone on to become powerhouse agents of change in their communities! Join us!

We seek individuals who embrace living simply in a semi-rural community. Applicants should be flexible, energetic, comfortable in groups, and able to manage a diversity of challenges. Prior experience is not necessary, but a good sense of humor, communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are a must.
