The Administrative and Social Media Coordinator is the primary staff position responsible for keeping the office running efficiently on a daily basis and for managing our social media accounts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-starting, and adept at providing high level customer service while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, especially during the conference planning season. Managing our CRM/database platforms, maintaining the office filing/record keeping system and some bookkeeping duties are key components to this position.
Similarly, we are looking for an enthusiastic communicator who will be responsible for creating social media campaigns and managing EcoFarm’s social media platforms. Your passion for social media as a communications tool will result in the adoption and implementation of social media best practices across all social media channels. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a versatile creative writer, and a team player.
-Provide logistical support to staff in planning the annual EcoFarm Conference and related events
-Carry out administrative duties, maintain office equipment and supplies
-Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail
-Maintain CRM database
-Monitor multiple email accounts; follow up on inquiries, answer/direct phone calls
-Handle conference logistics, and schedule staff and group meetings
-Support the executive director as needed
-Manage accounts receivable and payable and prepare invoices
-Process biweekly payroll
-Prepare and process bank deposits
-Manage online merchant accounts
-Provide requested information to bookkeeping contractor
Social Media & Communications responsibilities
-Create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts
-Implement best practices in digital strategy, engagement, and automation to grow our audience and cultivate community
-Capture and amplify conference activities and stories through photo, interviews, and video
-Co-manage website, ensuring timely content updates
-Communicate with social media followers and respond to queries in a timely manner
-Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally in a non-profit organization
-Social media management experience
-Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
-Attention to detail and problem solving skills
-Proficiency w/ MAC OS, QuickBooks, MS Office, Google Suite, Spreadsheets, Calendars, Zoom, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook.
-CiviCRM or other customer relationship management database a plus
-Spanish fluency preferred

Start Date: September/October 2022
Compensation: $57,200 per year, full time. Position is eligible for vacation, holidays, sick pay, retirement plan, flexible spending account, health care and dental insurance coverage.
Location: This position is based at the EcoFarm office in Soquel, a few miles south of Santa Cruz, CA. The office is accessible by bus, car and bike. No travel is required except for providing on-site administrative and logistical support at EcoFarm Conference in mid-late January in Pacific Grove, CA. Flexibility in the number of days working in office is optional starting in Feb, 2023.
