This position is for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Agriculture based at the Eureka campus and is responsible for teaching a full range of lower-division agriculture courses that support several A.S. degrees and Certificates of Achievement (Horticulture & Landscape Practices and Organic/Sustainable Agriculture). The college agriculture facilities include a campus greenhouse and the Shively Sustainable Farm. The Shively Sustainable Farm is an off-campus 36-acre certified organic farm that contains vegetable gardens, field, orchard, greenhouse, livestock ruminants and supports a farm stand, weekly CSA as well as agriculture and forestry/natural resource classes. The successful candidate will lead the Agriculture Department in serving our students and will nurture and strengthen the relationship between the college and local high school agriculture educators. Teaching assignment may include night and weekend work, teaching via on-campus, online, and hybrid, and in synchronous and asynchronous course-delivery modalities as well as at the Shively Sustainable Farm.
