FRC's Ecological Farming Program is looking for instructors for
- Sustainable Food Systems
- High Altitude Crop Production (Spring & Fall)
- Ecological Pest Management
- Season Extension Techniques
- Small Farm Tools & Infrastructure
Certificate designed to be completed by students in a year. Courses can be scheduled as short-term or weekend courses for convenience.
Courses will take place on the FRC campus and at Five Foot Farm, which will serve as a field site for course work and labs. Other local farms can also serve as partners. Five Foot Farm is a diversified, 4-acre farm located less than a mile from FRC. Starting Fall, 2018.
Qualifications: Any Bachelor's degree AND 2 years experience OR any Associate's degree AND 6 years experience, OR the equivalent. Compensation roughly $1000 / 1 unit taught.
Develop course content based on existing outline, deliver to students in the classroom and field, and evaluate success of teaching effectiveness.
