Ecolibrium Farms, a diversified organic vegetable farm in Redmond, WA, is looking for hard-working Farm Crew Members, and a Farm Crew Lead.

The ideal Farm Crew Lead candidate has two or more seasons working on an organic vegetable farm, and is interested in farming as a career.

The ideal Farm Crew Member candidate has one season as an intern on a farm, or has done similar work such as landscaping or trail building, and is looking to learn more about farming.

Our farm is driven by market gardening principles. We grow large quantities of high quality produce for our CSA, restaurants and local farmers markets, on small acreage, using ecologically-sound practices. We are certified-organic, and strive to keep a light footprint.

The positions are seasonal, with a start date of March 1st for the Lead position, and April 1st for the Crew Members. End date is dependent on the season and needs, but typically around October 31st. Compensation is DOE, plus produce from the farm.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Working together and under the leadership of the Farm Manager and Farm Crew Lead, the Farm Crew Member will be involved in all aspects of the operation, including bed prep, seeding, transplanting, greenhouse management, cultivation, irrigation, BCS/tractor operation, wash/pack, farmers markets, restaurant deliveries, and harvest. The Farm Crew Lead will supervise when the Farm Manager is not present, and help teach the Farm Crew Members/Interns how to work on a farm.

Education & Experience: 

Desire and passion for working outside, with seasonally heavy work loads and public interaction
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work long hours in all types of weather conditions
Represent the values of the company while interacting with anyone on site
Enthusiasm for sustainable food production
Maintain positive attitude and team cohesion amongst the field crew
Interest in Market Gardening
Interest in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards
Familiarity with Google Suite software
Adaptability - ability to be flexible when changes occur - weather, tasks, etc.
