Heart of the City Farmers’ Market(HOCFM) seeks two passionate and reliable community members to support our farmers market operations as Tent Support 4 and Tent Support 5 to provide customer service for 16 hours a week at our information tent.
HOCFM is a uniquely independent, farmer-operated, nonprofit farmers market located year round on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in San Francisco's United Nations Plaza. We opened in 1981with a mission to support and sustain small farmers and make fresh food accessible for low-income customers who struggle to afford adequate nutrition in a city with the highest cost of living in the nation. Over $1.5 million in food assistance is distributed each year at our market information tent, enabling low-income customers to shop for more sustainably grown produce from over 80 local vendors. Our diverse group of farmers reflects the unique community we serve and we are fondly known for our grassroots, family-like cooperative structure.
