Kilt Farm is a dynamic 30 acre organic farm in Boulder County. Our focus is growing the highest quality food while practicing cutting edge agriculture. We use compost teas, foliar feeding, mineral balancing and cover crops through out our production cycles to make sure we are sequestering carbon and growing the best food possible. We are a farm committed to creating a healthy fun workplace that rewards hustle, commitment, passion and a desire to learn. We have an on farm chef that cooks two to three meals a week for staff and a dinner every other week where we can invite our significant others to come and enjoy our hard work. Kilt Farm is a fantastic place to call home for the 2018 season.

Our Harvest Crew lead will manage harvests through out the week between our two properties. The Crew Lead will take harvest orders and work with a staff of paid and volunteer team members to correctly and efficiently harvest all of our crops. This is a physical position that is hands on while also being responsible for training the harvest staff, crew management, quality control and product tracking.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

All leads on the farm also participate through out the farm on duties from tractor cultivation, field prep, seeding, planting, wash station, pack house and distribution. We are small team of professionals that works together to make sure the farm operates at a high level of efficiencies.

Our Harvest Crew Lead will typically work from March through November. Our workweek normally runs Monday through Friday 7:30 to 5:30 with rotating half days on Saturday. At high points in the season we may start a little earlier and finish a little later but we strive to work no more that 50-55 hours a week. Salary ranges from $12-$14 an hour depending on experience. We also provide a share of produce through out the season plus additional produce for canning and preserving.

Education & Experience: 

We are looking for some one who has the following qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years on farm agricultural experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a crew leader
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and have full mobility
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Current Drivers License, clean driving record, reliable transportation to work
- Ability to drive a manual transmission farm vehicle
- Experience with tractors a plus
- Able to commit to the entire season
