Kiss The Ground. Is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our mission is to empower people to restore soils. Our goal is to increase soil carbon and biodiversity on 500 million acres of agricultural land in North America by 2050.

Our busy, mission-focused headquarters, located in Venice, CA (and moving to West Adams, Los Angeles, CA in January) needs a reliable, well-organized Office Manager and Development Assistant to handle day-to-day operations with a focus on collaboration, efficiency and time management. The Office Manager will be responsible for email communication, scheduling, intern and volunteer recruitment/management, funder and program development assistance and event coordination. We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated professional who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats and is inspired by our company’s mission. This position will include advancement opportunities for the right candidate.

Two years prior office management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Experience with scheduling
Advanced computer skills (QuickBooks experience a plus)
Cash receipts and petty cash handling experience
Supply management experience
Nonprofit development experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort with fast-paced, multi-cultural environment

Ability to continuously work on a computer
Ability to continuously sit
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally

Work will generally be performed in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting, including but not limited to; outdoors, private homes, conference centers, restaurants, and hotels
Travel will be required occasionally

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to; maintain office organizational procedures and systems, provide administrative support to executives and board members, email communications, mail processing, document filing, cash receipts, petty cash management, scheduling and maintaining company calendars, note taking at company meetings, coordinating office maintenance and improvements, purchasing materials and supplies, inventory management, office intern and volunteer recruiting and coordination, donor communications and acknowledgements, program development assistance under the leadership of the Executive Director, fundraising and event coordination.

This position reports directly to Lauren Tucker, Executive Director

Resource, coordinate and supervise office interns

Education & Experience: 

Office Manager Experience at least 3 years
Non Profit work is a plus
Masters education is a plus
