Join our family farm and be part of a team committed to excellence in product, customer service and attention to detail. Seeking a retail co-manager who organizes the flow of product, staff and customers through the retail shop. Must have the ability to communicate clearly, work quickly, and creatively, to provide excellent customer service. and to build a team that can work seamlessly.
PRODUCE DISPLAY: Inventory, stocking, merchandising of produce, prepared foods & grocery items with attention to detail and presentation of these items.
MARKETING and SALES : Identify and prioritize items for promotion and execute a plan with staff. Create appropriate signage and displays. Provide farm history and growing methods and seasonal produce availability to all customers as needed, especially new ones. Instruct customers regarding produce cleaning and storage, how to use/ cook and recipe ideas. Provide tastings and samples with attractive displays and attention to health department codes.
WORKING WITH OTHERS: Ability to initiate and work independently. Ability to effectively direct and delegate tasks to staff in an organized, productive way. Ability to provide guidance and problem solving support to team members. Ability to coordinate with staff in other departments to provide
SKILLS RECOMMENDED: Knowledge and experience with organic farming, healthy cooking, and healthy lifestyle. Interest in teaching others about organic farming, cooking and the specific aspects of our farm. Experience with ‘shopkeep’ point of sale. Ability to handle crates of vegetables up to 30-40 lbs regularly. Enjoy very active work with a willingness to be out in all types of weather.
