Spoon Full Farm is loyal to soil. With rotational grazing and no-till garden practices, we build soil while growing the highest quality food possible for our CSA members and market customers. The farm is located in sunny Thorp, Washington, on 240 acres, ~90 of which are irrigated with Yakima River water. We produce grass-fed beef and lamb, raw wildflower honey, and our renowned probiotic hot sauce, called Sun Sauce.
Spoon Full Farm is looking to hire a full time sales and marketing manager to help efficiently plan and execute sales strategies for both our markets (in person and web) as well as wholesale. This person will be responsible for maintaining our brand while finding new outlets to expand business and overall increase sales of Spoon Full products including meat, veggies, honey, and Sun Sauce.
Plan and execute outreach, marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and increase engagement with repeat customers for webstore, markets, & wholesale partnerships
Posting and engaging on @SpoonFullFarm Instagram and Facebook presences that communicates the mission, ethos, spirit, and offerings of Spoon Full Farm
Create marketing materials and new strategies to grow our web sales (especially in Kittitas County), wholesale accounts, and presence
Manage the Spoon Full webstore and website
Organize the inventory, packing, transporting, and pick up of all orders
Communicate with customers to answer any questions and ensure smooth deliveries
Provide weekly information about inventory and stock, for email newsletter & social media
Maintain detailed records of beef, lamb, honey, and Sun Sauce inventory
Devise ways to improve and efficiently optimize inventory control procedures for market and other sale revenues
Keep organized records of weekly market & webstore sales
Research and present new outlets for sales (includes wholesale) of all products including beef, garden, honey, lamb, sun sauce, and future new items
Track and analyze sales trends to establish and achieve sales goals
Oversee Spoon Full Farm's market booths including any staffing
Optimize Spoon Full's market experience and profitability
Meet projected sales goals through active and effective marketing and outreach
Update our farmers market booth displays to focus on beef/lamb//honey/Sun Sauce
Coordinate market pack-out/pack-up at the farm
Be an extraverted "face" of the farm!
Expressing Spoon Full Farm’s mission, ethos, and brand through in person interactions
Stepping in to work market if rep unavailable or unable to do so
Participate in monthly Spoon Full Farm board meetings regarding future vision and path of SFF.
Participate in bi-weekly manager meetings.
Act as the point of contact for the OG certification process.
Work as a productive member of the farm crew when needed with specific responsibilities varying depending on time of the season
Two or more years’ communications and/or marketing experience and strong interest in Spoon Full Farm’s mission, vision, and values.
Strong sense for storytelling, inquisitive mindset, and ability to identify and express meaningful nuances in stories of Spoon Full Farm’s work.
Proven ability and enthusiasm for building and maintaining customer relationships -- a commitment to exceeding the customer's expectations
