Schroeder Gardens is a 45 acre tree nursery that has been wholesaling and retailing an assortment of balled and burlapped coniferous and deciduous trees for the past 30+ years. We are shifting these 45 acres from conventional land management practices to regenerative. Our focus is moving towards more native trees, nut trees, berry bushes and native flowers, while maintaining existing tree sales. We aim to be excellent soil and land stewards.
The goal of this position is to have a self directed farm manager to aid in establishing regenerative systems for the tree nursery while enhancing the ecosystem of the farm itself.
This includes but is not limited to planting, digging, and selling trees, as well as seed propagation, transplanting, weeding, vegetable gardening, and mowing as appropriate. In many ways, this is a blank slate for someone who is motivated to grow a business with efficient, creative practices. A unique opportunity to really expand the vision of the farm.
Schroeder Gardens is seeking a motivated farmer with a positive attitude and genuine passion for regenerative farming. Applicants should be driven, hardworking, and committed to regenerative practices. All candidates must be prepared to work in a professional environment, complete tasks carefully and in a timely manner, and work in all weather conditions.
