The Ecological Farming Association presents the annual EcoFarm Conference each January. As the oldest and largest ecological agricultural gathering in the West, the EcoFarm Conference offers more than 70 workshops featuring an array of educational and technical sessions for farmers, ranchers, distributors, retailers, activists, consumers, students, and educators, along with an exhibitor marketplace, live entertainment, discussion groups, mixers, delicious meals and libations.
The 35th annual EcoFarm Conference, Viva EcoFarm - 35 Years & Growing! will be held at the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, California, January 21 - 24, 2015.
Hoes Down Harvest Festival
In the heart of breathtaking Capay Valley, immerse yourself in a festival of rural living, domestic arts, and local agriculture. Full Belly Farm, one of the first and most prolific organic farms in the country, hosts the Hoes Down Harvest Festival, which includes farm tours, traditional arts and crafts, farm-fresh food, folk music, dancing, hands-on workshops, and seminars, offering the public a special chance to enjoy rural life and deepen our understanding and connection to the local food system. Recognized by the National Geographic for its children’s area, this event is fun for adults and kids alike. Camping in the orchard is available for a whole-weekend experience.
