About the Hoes Down Harvest Festival
Over 30 years ago, the Hoes Down Harvest Festival was started to bring people out to the country and deepen their connection with food and land.
Today, Hoes Down is a weekend-long festival and fundraiser focused on educating people first-hand about the positive impacts of farming. At Hoes Down, guests experience activities like pruning trees, milking a cow, making compost and seasonal cooking. They eat local organic food and dance to the tunes of bluegrass and contra dance with one another. Attendees camp under the stars in our walnut orchard and wake up to a farm fresh breakfast.
We invite you to join us in celebrating farming and rural living with your two feet in the soil!

We heard your feedback!
Last year, we slowed down the festival in an effort to make it more sustainable for the full-time farmers at the heart of the planning. We greatly appreciate your understanding as we continuously evolve Hoes Down to be a magical experience for everyone involved!
New, old and exciting things we are bringing to Hoes Down in 2024:
Expanded and better food options: Our old friends Red Horse pizza will be firing up pizzas, we are bringing back the Mediterranean Cafe, Fat Face will be serving sandwiches at lunch and we are finding other ways to serve food faster.
RV Camping: RV camping will be allowed again in the camp parking lot.
Wellness Area: We are excited to bring back some of our favorite massage therapists and yoga instructors to the festival!
